  2. Dear Bradley,
Grimis is a Boston band that is doing some really exciting things at the moment and
we’d love to get some blogs buzzing in the coming months. Can we send you some demos from our not-yet-released record?

The band received considerable local attention a few years ago when all of the band’s
members sold 1000 copies of their first two records while only in high school. Local
jazz/funk phenoms Addison Groove Project tapped Grimis to open two hunger benefit
concerts when the group was still only in high school.

With maturity and ever-evolving sound Grimis has grown up and accomplis hed more than
most local bands. In 2006 they won first place in the first two round of the Emergenza
Music Festival and played to near capacity crowds at the Middle East Downstairs and the
Paradise Rock Club. Northeast and midwest tours followed. In the recent past the band
has performed and collaborated with an impressive and wide ranging group of the city’s
most reknowned bands–sharing the stage with the likes of The Slip, Apollo Sunshine,
Piebald, The Self Righteous Brothers, and Addison Groove Project.

Lyle Brewer, Grimis’ lead guitarist and a jazz performance major at the New England
Conservatory has received recognition on his own for his guitar work touring and
recording with locally burgeoning singer/songwriter Miss Tess, Brooklyn alt-country group
Basement Band, and nationally known jam band acts the Boston Horns and the Nate Wilson
    Group.

Grimis is currently working on their third studio album, playing locally, and touring
the northeast again in June. Although the planned release of the record is at least six
months away, they have already received initial interest from record labels such as
    Vagrant Records and Sony Distribution.

Please email me back if you are interested in doing a piece on the band sometime in the
    coming months.

    Sincerely,
    David/Grimis
